- Date and copyvio checked. You can link only Vallabhbhai Patel because Sardar Vallabhai Patel redirects to that article, and Vallabhai is incorrect spelling! --Tito Dutta (talk • contributions • email) 03:36, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Oh God, I always spelt his name wrong then! Thank you for correcting me on that. Have corrected the spelling in the original hook now. Why is the redirect an issue, though? Patel's honorific 'Sardar' is almost integrally used with his name to this day, so isn't linking Sardar Patel fine? Ashwin147 (talk) 05:00, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Redirect is not an issue, but, it'll redirect unnecessarily is someone clicks on it. If you want you can link it like [[Vallabhbhai Patel|Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel]] --Tito Dutta (talk • contributions • email) 05:17, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)I dont think there should be any problem in linking like [[Vallabhbhai Patel|Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel]]. Hey, is this image in PD? Also that page states his birth year as 1888 contrary to 1892 claim of our article. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 05:31, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Dharmadhyaksha, the redirect directly took me to the page, I wasn't taken to an intermediate page. Have however included your change in the hook. For the date, there are three figures - 1888, 1892 and 1895. The '88 figure is under the worldcat entry which I used only to look at his books, the '95 entry is under the Jamnalal Bajaj biography. I went with '92 because the source cited explicitly and the interview in Yojana implicitly point to it. The image would be a great addition, unfortunately I can't read Gujarati. We could do with some help on this. Ashwin147 (talk) 06:46, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- - It seems good to me. Lead is a bit short but good to go overall. Faizan 14:48, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Discussion going on! Let them decide if the issues are solved! --Tito Dutta (talk • contributions • email) 15:07, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Of the issues raised, spelling and linking have been taken care of. I've given the logic for the year of birth, but am open to changing/formatting it if there's a logical alternative. The image would be a great addition, but not essential for purposes of a DYK. So that leaves the article to be checked against the other parameters like copyvio, pov et al. - My comment was just a passerby's comment on how right wikilink should be used and for checking why no image is present on the article. Even if free image is not available, non-free image with rationale can be added. That's why i commented. The DOB find was coincidence. Tito may continue with his review. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 06:05, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Please check Jaiprakash Narayan and Vinobha Bhave spellings! --Tito Dutta (talk • contributions • email) 06:15, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Checked, corrected. Ashwin147 (talk) 07:00, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

- GTG. But, I was not notified for some reason. --Tito☸Dutta 12:03, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
