KXIC

5x expanded by Sammi Brie (talk). Self-nominated at 05:16, 21 March 2021 (UTC).
- Expanded 5x on March 21, 2021. Long enough. Some comments:
- Please fix the two bare urls.
- Do you have a ref for as to XEROK-AM being why KXIC has to power down at night?
- Your references says "four war veterans", two of which were involved in WSUI. Reword?
- No noticeable copyvio; QPQ done. Hook doesn't exactly "punch" for me; that is, it's just a bunch of numbers that without a comparison doesn't show how it's impressive. Situations like ALT1 happen all the time too. Instead, I propose talking about how the advertisers pulled out in protest, which is more interesting. Good job on the expansion! ◢ Ganbaruby! - @Ganbaruby: Mostly wanted to capture the highly unusual longevity of Dottie's show with ALT0. I fixed bullet point 3—a typo—and upgraded 2 with a better source, which fixes 1 (except for the FCC history card link generated by {{FCC letter}}—not sure how to integrate that link with a CS1 cite template, unfortunately). - ALT0 isn't super fantastic but passable. I've got no more issues; ready for main page. ◢ Ganbaruby! (Say hi!) 09:17, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- After a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Did you know, I've created an article on Dottie Ray that could be reviewed and bold linked here - Dumelow (talk) 08:23, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- I have a spare QPQ at Template:Did you know nominations/John Fenwick Hutchings (second of the two credits) that can be used - Dumelow (talk) 08:38, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- That's very nice of you, Dumelow. I threw a few more sources in there from the pre-web days: there were feature articles on her in 1962, 1984 and 1994 that are now referenced, and Radio & Records profiled her in 2008. I'd be fine with including that in there. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 18:05, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Good work Sammi Brie. Ganbaruby, would you be interested in carrying out a review on Dottie Ray to allow it to run in ALT0? Thanks - Dumelow (talk) 19:29, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Dumelow: I'm actually quite busy IRL, so I might not be able to get to it anytime soon. If anyone else wants to pick it up, that's fine too. ◢ Ganbaruby! (Say hi!)
- Dumelow I can review if after I get home from work later today if no one gets to it by then. SL93 (talk) 15:02, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- I'm approving ALT0 - Dottie Ray is long enough, new enough, and has no copyright violations. A QPQ has been completed and the hook is directly cited. SL93 (talk) 22:09, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Dumelow I added a DYKmake for you, but I'm not sure if I did it correctly because I don't see it saved. SL93 (talk) 22:12, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
