L. Zenobia Coleman
- ... that L. Zenobia Coleman (1898–1999), librarian for 36 years at Tougaloo College, Mississippi, is credited with paving the way for Black librarians, and that the college's library is named for her? Source: [1]
Created by Drmies (talk). Self-nominated at 17:44, 29 April 2021 (UTC).
- New article is 3,800 characters long and nominated on the same day. No copyvios detected and duplication detector [2][3] reveal no close paraphrasing issues (AGF scanned refs which can't go through Dup detector). Article is well-sourced. Hook is 196 characters long (under 200 character max.) and is interesting. Ref 2 (verifying the hook) is a reliable source. The promoter can omit the birth and death years from the hook. QPQ done. Looks good to go! —Bloom6132 (talk) 20:55, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
@Drmies:, @Bloom6132: I was going to promote this to a prep area, but the length and flow of the hook prevents it from being "punchy". I propose one of the ALTs below. Please indicate which you prefer, or if you want to stick with ALT 0:
- ALT 1: ... that L. Zenobia Coleman, a librarian at Tougaloo College for 36 years, "paved the way for Black librarians"?
- ALT 2: ... that Tougaloo College's library is named for L. Zenobia Coleman, a librarian at the college for 36 years?
Thanks for your understanding. Z1720 (talk) 23:02, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Z1720: The two hooks you proposed also work. Do you want to wait for Drmies' input before promoting? —Bloom6132 (talk) 00:05, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
