Overall: @Onegreatjoke: article looks good... (pardon the pun). New, somewhat long, sourced to a book (hence the AGF) and a blog, which is fine per WP:BLOG as the writer is a subject matter expert. Hook is nice and interesting (syphilis will probably get quite a few clicks), however, I wonder if there is a slightly less clunky way to state it. The repetition could be removed, for example: ALT 1: ... that Les Avariés, the first play in the United States to mention the word "syphilis", was temporarily banned in England and France for its focus on the disease? That's all, it's a good candidate. Well done to Colin M. Schminnte (talk • contribs) 15:58, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- That's good enough. Onegreatjoke (talk) 01:40, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
Or one can simply pick one or the other statements, as they are both rather catchy on their own:
- ALT2: ... that Les Avariés was the first play in the United States to mention the word "syphilis"?
- ALT3: ... that Les Avariés was temporarily banned in England and France for its focus on syphilis?
