- Reviewing
- Article is new enough, neutral and has appropriate citations. No copyvio on Earwig.
- The hook is interesting to a general audience and supported by inline citation.
- At 1407 characters the article is slightly too short for DYK. It could be easily expanded by including in the text firstly his work on amiodarone induced thyrotoxicosis and secondly his involvement in the research which demonstrated that thyroxine is converted into triiodothyronine in humans, probably his greatest contribution. His 1970 paper J Clin Invest. 1970 May; 49(5): 855–864. doi: 10.1172/JCI106304 should be cited. I note that these have been listed in the infobox.
- It could be further improved by a link or links to the article to remove orphan status.
- No QPQ shown. Papamac (talk) 07:37, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, Iainmacintyre! I followed your very helpful suggestions. No longer orphaned.Wuerzele (talk) 15:35, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Now long enough and improved. Done some copy edits and changed work institutions on infobox.
- Has a QPQ been done? Papamac (talk) 18:36, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

- @Wuerzele: the DYK rules require that 'The review must address all five criteria listed here'; see WP:DYKRULES; you can still do a review to count toward this nomination. Papamac (talk) 08:46, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Iainmacintyre: I reviewed Nicholas Emery, fyi, thanks.Wuerzele (talk) 16:42, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Wuerzele: Great. Can you send a link to that as I couldn't find it on DYK approved or on DYK nominations. Thanks. Papamac (talk) 17:13, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
