- ... that the companion-piece pair of paintings, Man Writing a Letter (pictured) and Woman Reading a Letter, by Gabriël Metsu, were stolen and recovered twice?

- Interesting, a pleasure to read and well sourced, offline sources accepted AGF. - Minor comments to articles: please mention the "pair" in the leads, perhaps also some more of the interesting facts. Get rid of "we" ;) - I like the infoboxes ;) - I prefer notes and bibliography separated. - Cute hook! Needs a doubling right after the fact. - I added the image of the woman which would show 2 women! Bridge the gender gap, DYK? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:42, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Gerda Arendt I tried, and doubling image and women is good... But where is that we' thing? Hafspajen (talk) 17:33, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know if we can get both pics, thought of just the women, but yes why not both? - "As far as we know", I don't know who that we is ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:35, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Please fix a doubling of the ref to the hook fact. I will we off for most of the weekend. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:38, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Can't - don't know how. Hafspajen (talk) 20:41, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- What is it you don't know? Which source covers the claimed fact? Ask the others. Don't know how to name a ref and use the same several times just by name? Look at almost any of my articles. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:24, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Drmies Drmies - what, I am only the nominator...Hafspajen (talk) 21:42, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Eh, I only translated a bit. I also don't know, Haf, what you don't know, in part because of your unconventional indenting. Gerda, I don't see any double references... Drmies (talk) 00:13, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't see a reference behind the statement that supports the hook, and I have no time to search for it in the sources. I looked at Provenance but didn't see it there (perhaps it's there and I just didn't find it). You can of course find another hook, or even two, both paintings deserve to be pictured! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:44, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you, I was blind, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:46, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
