Marianos Argyros
edit- ... that the Byzantine nobleman Marianos Argyros supported Stephen Lekapenos in the overthrow of his father, Romanos I Lekapenos, and only weeks later supported Constantine VII in sidelining Stephen?
- ALT1:... that the Byzantine general Marianos Argyros, who fought against the Fatimids in southern Italy and the Magyars in Thrace, was initially a monk?

- The article`s length and creation time are ok. Both hooks are well cited and their length is ok: personally I prefer ALT1. The article is well referenced, AGF is assumed on the offline sources. In order to give a GTG, only a QPQ is needed. Alex2006 (talk) 16:51, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Alex2006, I've done the QPQ review. Cheers, Constantine ✍ 18:31, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

- None of the hook facts – fighting the Fatimids in southern Italy, fighting the Magyars in Thrace, or being a monk – are cited inline (right after the sentence in which they're mentioned). Yoninah (talk) 15:48, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- Gah, yes, you are right, Yoninah, thanks. I forgot about this (but this is IMO one of the most inane DYK requirements). Fixing that right now. Constantine ✍ 18:53, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
