- Hi Hog Farm, what an excellent subject for an article! Review follows: article moved to mainspace 1 November; article exceeds minimum length and is well written (and will almost certainly pass its upcoming GAN); citations are inline throughout and to reliable (mainly offline) sources; I didn't find any issue with overly close paraphrasing from the two online sources; hooks are interesting and mentioned in the article, ALT0 is cited offline but also backed up by the Encyclopedia of Arkansas article which I can access, ALT1 is confirmed by the EoA; a QPQ has been carried out. Looks fine to me. One non-DYK query, could you clarify what unit Marmaduke was commanding at Helena? I couldn't work it out from the article - Dumelow (talk) 08:29, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

- ALT3 * ... that all charges against John S. Marmaduke for killing a fellow Confederate general in a duel were later dropped?
I'm fine with either ALT2 or ALT3. Hog Farm Talk 23:14, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- I like ALT3, better than what I wrote - so I've struck ALT2. — Maile (talk) 23:25, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
