Self-portrait by Maximilien Luce, c. 1925–1930

5x expanded by Mandarax (talk). Self nominated at 23:59, 23 September 2013 (UTC).

  • Well written and article which I enjoyed to read. The hook checks out. It is however not fully 5 times expanded. On september 19th the readable prose was 1841B - today it is 7767B, which falls short of the five fold expansion (which would require about 9KB). • Thanks. As for size, take the beginning of expansion from September 18. The version prior to that, from August 11, was 833 prose characters. It's currently 7739, a 9.3× expansion. Those first September 18 edits were a copyright violation which I reverted, and I assumed that the later addition from the same user was also a copyvio. I started completely from scratch, not using any text from the existing article. But whether we disallow the possible copyright violation or not, the expansion calculation is still valid. (Well, if that second addition wasn't a copyvio, then my expansion was technically 37 minutes over the five days, but I don't think anybody would mind that tiny exception.) Note that DYKcheck reports "Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 38 edits ago on September 18, 2013". MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 01:34, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
But the beginning of the expansion was not done by you, which is why I didn't count it. Anyway it doesn't matter, because I am not going to be a stickler about it, and I will cut you the reasonable slack and say that the article is good to go.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 01:39, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
