- ... that prior to 2015 the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR (pictured) was the most expensive production car, retailing for US$1,547,620? Source: When Mercedes-Benz first unveiled its CLK GTR Roadster in 1998 it sold for an astonishing $1.5 million dollars, making it the most expensive production car ever, a figure only recently exceeded by the Ferrari FXX

- Article was promoted to GA status within the last seven days, is over the required prose size and has no copyvio concerns. Hook is interesting and supported by the source provided, although the exact price is in a citation within the text. Image appears to be appropriately licensed. User is exempt from QPQ as they have only one credited nomination. My only suggestion would be rewording slightly with a possible ALT below.
