edit- ... that research led by Michael Blakey at the African Burial Ground National Monument unearthed how eighteenth-century New Yorkers exploited and treated African slaves violently, over their resistance?

- Suggest rewording hook to mention NY City earlier, since that is the main new aspect. Something like "... that research led by Michael Blakey at the African Burial Ground National Monument unearthed how eighteenth-century New Yorkers exploited and treated African slaves violently, over their resistance."
- New, long enough, inline citations, NPOV met. Citations all in full format; no bare links. Hook format ok. Hook citation ok. No disputes on talk page, no WP:BLP issues. No plagiarism, copyright violations, or close paraphrasing. Churn and change (talk) 04:46, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
