Michael White (British Army officer)
- ... that Michael White served in the same regiment as his father and married the daughter of another of its officers? "the third son of Robert White, major in the 27th dragoons ... obtained a cornetcy in the 24th dragoons on 15 Aug. 1804 ... In 1816 he married Mary, daughter of Major Mylne of the 24th dragoons" [note that 27th Dragoons became the 24th Dragoons in 1803] from: "White, Michael". Dictionary of National Biography. London: Smith, Elder & Co. 1885–1900.
- ALT1:... that Michael White was appointed aide-de-camp to Queen Victoria for his gallantry at the 1846 Battle of Sobraon? "at Sobraon he behaved with such conspicuous gallantry that he was nominated aide-de-camp to the queen." from the same source

- Approve main hook Article was made on the 22nd, so is new enough and it is far more than long enough. The article reads neutrally, has proper in-line citations, and has no copyvio problems after checking with the tool. The hook is short enough and interesting enough for promotion. I'd go with the main hook as the better and more interesting one. And the QPQ has already been done. Good to go! SilverserenC 04:22, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
