a few more wikilinks would be good eg special education, learning disability and the academic titles need formatting per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Abbreviations#Abbreviations_widely_used_in_Wikipedia

1/hook could be snappier would you care to rephrase? 2/maybe wikilink learning disability, 3/are they teachers or teachers in training?
QPQ: Done. |
Overall: interesting freshly created article on a pioneering academic, article needs a bit of cleanup, hook could be snappier Mujinga (talk) 17:00, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Mujinga: I fixed the issues. What about
ALT1 ... that educator Mildred Hope Fisher Wood was the first person to teach learning disability courses to prospective teachers?SL93 (talk) 18:37, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Mujinga: I fixed the issues. What about
- I tried pinging Mujinga and posting on their talk page, but they are not responding despite asking me to ping them when I fixed the issues. A new reviewer is needed and I don't think this should count as Mujinga's QPQ for their nomination. SL93 (talk) 20:40, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- lol hold your horses, as you suggested your pings didn't go through and now i'm back online tonight i saw your message. this is a perfectly valid QPQ actually because i've reviewed all elements, whether it passes is up to both of us and the rest of the community. Mujinga (talk) 21:18, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- thanks for addressing all my concerns, I think ALT1 is better but still needs a bit of finessing because it now begs the question first person where? (And people aren't generally that keen on "first person to" DYKs..). I think a combination of ALT0 and ALT1 mentioning the uni again would probably address that, maybe saying she was the originator or something, what do you think? Mujinga (talk) 21:29, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- I will suggest a new hook when I get home from work tonight. 21:37, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- Great, if not later I should be online again tomoro! Mujinga (talk) 21:41, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- ALT2 ... that educator Mildred Hope Fisher Wood was the originator of learning disability courses, which she taught to prospective teachers at the University of Northern Iowa? SL93 (talk) 03:09, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- Nice one SL93 for AlT2. I can now approve that one, which is cited to https://www.newspapers.com/clip/55565956/the-courier on the actual sentence in the article. Mujinga (talk) 10:57, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
