ALT1: ... that part of Mississippi Highway 489 was completely washed away in August 2022 after significant flooding, causing the road to be closed? Source: WJTVFirst-time DYK participant here. I was originally thinking of nominating this hook but wasn't sure if it's hooky enough; I will throw it out here anyway. PlanetJuice (talk • contribs) 02:20, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Typo fix in the original hook (higway to highway) PlanetJuice (talk • contribs) 02:20, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Overall: Article is new enough (promoted to GA on 16 Dec) and long enough (RPS is 3002). Earwig didn't turn up with anything concerning and the hook is interesting and cited (preference for ALT0). That hook is a touch repetitive ("Jason Boyd") but I don't think that's a dealbreaker and it could be easily reworded by nom or a prepbuilder if repetition is determined to be too much of an issue. It's not a big enough problem for me to prevent a tick so we're good to go. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 20:27, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
