Mississippi Highway 548
edit- ... that Mississippi Highway 548 is the only highway in the state that does not directly connect to any other?

- The article is long enough, nominated timely, and no copyvios are found. QPQ was done. But there are two problems with the hook. First, the article doesn't say "only". Second and more important, the reference given for "It never meets any other road that is state maintained" does not actually say that. It simply displays a complex and hard-to-read map, requiring Original Research to interpret. We need a reference that actually states the hook information in words. Can you find such a reference? It looks as if almost all your references are maps. --MelanieN (talk) 02:32, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'll see if I can dig out something, but @Rschen7754: or @TCN7JM: might be able to do so faster than I can. US Highways tend to have precise points on them marked in State DOT documentation, so it ought to be sourceable. It does seem a bit odd that it just kind of gives up in the middle of nowhere. - "It never meets any other road that is state maintained" kind of dances around the point - "it never meets any other state highway" is more clear and is more easily sourceable. --Rschen7754 21:40, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- I've done that, but we still need better sources to be able to close this successfully. I've been through five pages of Google hits and can't find a thing. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:10, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm going to decline this nomination for lack of sourcing for the hook. We've given it several days, but Ritchie has been unable to find the needed sourcing despite an enormous effort, and the article's author isn't even interested.[1] I can't see any alternate hook because of the same sourcing problem. About the only hook that could be sourced would be "...that Mississippi Highway 548 is a state highway in Mississippi?" which is not interesting enough for DYK. Sorry, all; nice try. --MelanieN (talk) 02:09, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
