Most expensive cars sold in auction
edit- ... that the same 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder that went on to be sold for $4,950,000 in 2009 was offered for sale for $10,500 in 1964?
- ALT1:... that the the world auction record for cars was broken recently by a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa at $16.4 million?
- ALT2:... that before record was broken recently, RM Auctions took four of the top five places for cars sold in auctions?
- ALT3:... that two 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossas, consecutively surpassed one over the other for the the world auction record for cars?
- ALT4:... that only four cars have broken into the $10 million mark for auto auction sales?
- ALT5:... that three Ferraris and a Duesenberg have broken into the $10 million mark for auto auction sales?
- ALT6:... that TV presenter and radio personality Chris Evans broke a 21 year old world record for cars sold in auction, when he placed a bid for a Ferrari that once belonged to James Coburn?
- Comment: Also being nominated for WP:ITN, no concerns if I do not get my ITN as it is my aim to achieve both, trouble is I was meant to finish that sometimes earlier this year and the news of the record pushed me to finish this article.

- Further comment: As with Alt 6, I will place that in for the sake of it in case anybody is interested since probably everybody knows that Mr Evans broke the record. Donnie Park (talk) 20:04, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
