New Zealand eagle ray

edit
  • ... that the New Zealand eagle ray can detect prey completely submerged in sand and create a jet of water to expose it? Source: "They can detect their prey even when they can't see them," "They blast a jet of water out of their gills to excavate the sand around their prey, leaving telltale pits behind"

Interesting animal, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. Interesting hook, but I find the electro-sensor almost more fascinating than the water jet. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:27, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
