Nokuse Plantation
edit... that the Nokuse Plantation is a haven for the gopher tortoise?
Created by Alanscottwalker (talk), expanded by Liz (talk). Nominated by Casliber (talk) at 23:15, 1 August 2015 (UTC).
- Comment, not relevant to the nomination, but a small moment to note collaborative wiki editing in practice. I would like to think that one day I may have gotten back to the article to improve it but Liz picked up the ball - that's the power of wiki and good editors. - Comment, this is quite a surprise, is this how the DYK process works? I had planned to write an article on MC Davis when I didn't find one but then discovered this article for the Nokuse preserve which covers the relevant information for MC Davis and Stella Davis. The photograph is a nice addition. Thanks for the nomination and your work on this article, Alanscottwalker and Casliber. Liz Read! Talk! 19:12, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- New enough, long enough, meets core content policies. Hook cited to RS. @Liz, Alanscottwalker, and Casliber: I was going to recommend ALT1: ... that the Nokuse Plantation is the largest privately owned nature preserve in the southeast United States?, but that wasn't in the source. I'm holding the nomination in case someone wishes to fix that. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 21:00, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- The cite for that is used several times in the article, it is now also placed after that sentence, so fixed. Casliber's hook was fine with me fwiw (I have no opinion on that, really). Alanscottwalker (talk) 21:14, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
