Oregon Emergency Board
edit- ... that in 2016, Oregon’s legislative Emergency Board provided $2 million to reimburse state and local agencies for costs resulting from the armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge?
- Source: The May 1916 Summary of Emergency Board Action says (bottom of column 1 on p. 2) the board "allocated $2 million … for state and local government costs associated with the takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Harney County."

- New well-cited article with 7461 characters of prose; a number of these sources require subscription access, but I'll AGF in this case. Hook is under characters and seems interesting. Copyvio detector turned up a couple close matches, but that's either the text of the Oregon Constitution itself that's quoted in the article or unavoidable similarities.
