QPQ: - Not done
Overall: Article looks good, just waiting on the QPQ. I think the hook could be spruced up by adding the year of his feat, and "remains" before "a joint record". SounderBruce 00:39, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- @SounderBruce: QPQ added. I've added in your suggestions for the hook too. Kosack (talk) 11:56, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- Looks good to go. SounderBruce 16:41, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- I have pulled this because the references for the hook look dodgy. One is from a defunct website of unknown provenance, the other is from a lulu.com publication, which is a self-publishing company. Pinging the nominator Kosack. Gatoclass (talk) 18:48, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: The ref address appears to have altered slightly, the ref is HERE now. I've amended the link in the article also. The link is from the (former?) official website of them team he played for when setting the record. Kosack (talk) 18:53, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Kosack, the page contains a banner saying the website is no longer in use, and the "About us" link is virtually bare. I have no way of verifying whether the site is reliable. Gatoclass (talk) 19:02, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: The clubwebsite.co.uk domain is used by huge amounts of lower league clubs to host their websites as a cheap way for these clubs to maintain an official web presence. Kosack (talk) 19:05, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Okay, I will have to follow up on this tomorrow as I haven't time to look into it right now, sorry. Gatoclass (talk) 19:09, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: The clubwebsite domain now redirects to Pitchero which is widely used throughout the UK as an official website host for smaller clubs. I'm assuming its either been bought out or simply renamed. The Arthurlie page was the official website for the club and is no different to using an archive page of an old website other than we don't have to because it's simply been abandoned rather than deleted. There do appear to be refs supporting the info in the British Newspaper Archive but I don't have a subscription for the site, although I would probably be able to find someone who does. Kosack (talk) 08:43, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: Can you continue with your re-review of this nomination? Kosack (talk) 08:33, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- I haven't responded because I don't know what to do about this. I'm still thinking about it. Gatoclass (talk) 14:38, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: It's been five days since you raised an issue with this, any chance of an advance here? Kosack (talk) 11:26, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: I've added another source that another editor kindly supplied. This should be more than suitable now, could you please finish your re-review? Kosack (talk) 14:42, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- Better, but it doesn't actually confirm that eight goals is still the record. Gatoclass (talk) 06:37, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: The Scottish Football Hall of Fame ref confirms that. Kosack (talk) 07:16, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
