Policy compliance:
- Adequate sourcing:
- Neutral:
- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing:
- Other problems: - The reference section needs a good deal of cleanup. A few redundant ones need to be combined (16 and 17, for example), links need to be added, and Newspaper.com references need to be acknowledged on all occasions.
Hook eligibility:
- Cited: - ALT0 not cited in the immediate sentence; the hook should also mention New York City, just in case people aren't fully aware of the location. ALT1 would need to be supported by multiple sources or given a stronger backing; I really doubt that this was the first of its kind in the U.S.
- Interesting:

Overall: Almost good to go, but I would like to see the reference cleanup before this hits the main page. There are also a lot of awkward word choices that jump out, so I'd suggest a copyedit as well. SounderBruce 09:10, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Response I removed the redundant citations, added many links and Newspaper.com references. Can you give some examples of awkward word choices? Thanks. Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 14:45, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- SounderBruce, I made some copyedits to some of the sections. If anything in particular is still outstanding, feel free to let one of us know, and I'll try to fix up the rest of the page. epicgenius (talk) 03:02, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
