Patrice Chéreau
edit... that a French team with stage director Patrice Chéreau and conductor Pierre Boulez produced Wagner's Ring Cycle (scene pictured) at the centenary Bayreuth Festival in 1976?

- Comment: Mauro did a great table of awards that unfortunately doesn't count.

- Review of ALT2: has "pictured" twice, and the black/white picture was featured on the main page earlier today (and incorrectly sized in this hook at 105px) so can't be used again, and per recent precedents for the "nearly 20 awards" we would need either a citation for each award in the table or a reliable source which states that he won x awards. So I'm striking ALT2. Incidentally, I agree with Gerda that the awards table is very good and lends nice structure to the article.
- Review of ALT1: correctly formatted, a bit shorter, eye-catching, quote and fact are stated in article and directly cited to reliable source. Image has been transferred from flickr and I'm not convinced the licence shown is correctly applied, as I can't access the author's file on Flickr to check how it originally appeared there. Remainder of approval per review by Nvvchar. So I've struck "pictured" in ALT1, the hook is good to go without the image. Baldy Bill (sharpen the razor|see my reflection) 20:35, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
