QPQ: Done. |
Overall: Article moved to mainspace on January 9, and nominated same day, therefore new enough. Length is adequate. Sourcing is properly done. QPQ completed. No copyvios detected, since the article sources are not English. The article has only one incoming link, from Piposh. More mainspace articles need to be linked to it. The article has very few wikilinks to other articles. Is it possible to add a few, specifically to the Hebrew Wiki? The wording in the hook needs to be closer to what is in the article. If the previous release was in 1999, and the developers reunited in 2018, that would be 19 years, instead of 20 years. Checking into the hook sourcing shortly. - Hebrew source:
- Google translation:
The game had four titles that were released between 1999 and 2003 by the Israeli company Giliotin. Last week the creators of the series Renard (Renan) and Roy Gluzman announced that after 20 years they are returning the series of games with a new and exciting adventure.
Hook source translation is above. Wording needs to be improved as per comments above. Flibirigit (talk) 21:33, 31 January 2019 (UTC)

that Piposh creators Renan and Roy Gluzman are rebooting the Israeli video game franchise with a 2019 entry ?Source: https://il.ign.com/pypvsh-pc/39060/interview/pypvsh-2018-ryvn-bldy-m-yvtsry-hmshkhq-hkhdsh
- Thank you for adding some outbound links. Did you look if some of the people mentioned in this article have a Hebrew Wiki article to link to? I'm going to explore some more categories for this article, and some inbound links. I will get back to the hooks shortly. Flibirigit (talk) 23:25, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
- Question:Which subcategories from Category:Video games by theme would be applicable to Piposh 2019? Flibirigit (talk) 23:36, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for your update. Those outbound links should help deorphan the article. I appreciate your assistance in getting this article main page-ready. I prefer to have red links over Hebrew Wiki article links, as it encourages people to create articles rather than sending them to an article in Hebrew, but that's just me. After going through them one by one, I don't think the article fits any of those 'Theme' Categories. --Coin945 (talk) 07:36, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- The article is still an orphan because it has only one inbound link from a mainspace article (Piposh) which is itself an orphan. Flibirigit (talk) 15:14, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the additions. Do you think any of these are suitable for inbound links? Flibirigit (talk) 04:56, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- List of unreleased role-playing video games, Chronology of tactical role-playing video games: Unreleased games, Adventure game, List of graphic adventure games
- Thanks @Flibirigit:! I've now added those inbound links. :)--Coin945 (talk) 22:50, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- Great, thanks. Let's get back to the hooks now. It's good not to mention 19 or 20 years, and just focus on the calendar years of 1999 and 2019. Also, as a general rule of thumb, persons without a Wikipedia as not typically mentioned by name on the front page. In other words, the hook would need to say something like "the creators of" without specifically saying the name. Another suggestion is to just focus on the game, with something like "rebooted after 20 years". Would you be able to come up with hooks? I'd suggest them myself.. but then we would need a third reviewer. Flibirigit (talk) 23:25, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

@Flibirigit: Here's some more hooks. Thoughts?--Coin945 (talk) 23:57, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- At a glance, these looks promising. I will go through them tonight, and maybe finish in the morning. Flibirigit (talk) 02:14, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Cheers. :) So next step is you'll review, choose a hook, and approve the nomination? Or do you need anything else from me?--Coin945 (talk) 02:51, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I'm reviewing to see if anything is needed. I did find that in the proposed hooks there are several wikilinks that do not appear in Piposh (2019 video game). To be specific, if it's in the hook, it must be in the article. Would you like to add those to the article? Flibirigit (talk) 03:48, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- These links do not appear in the article: Media of Israel, Episodic video game, adventure game, adventure games, Calcalist, fan base, business strategy, video game franchise. Flibirigit (talk) 04:20, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Done :)--Coin945 (talk) 04:34, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I should have also mentioned to avoid MOS:EGG and WP:SEAOFBLUE. I will need to tweak some of the hooks. I will get back to it later today. Flibirigit (talk) 14:33, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

- Coin945 Sorry for the delay in thinking about the hooks. ALT4/4a will not be interesting to a broad audience, and offer little info on the video game. The other hooks are good enough for consideration. I will post the Hebrew translation of the source, so hooks can be verified.
- ALT1 is verified as per below.
- ALT2 is verified as per below.
- ALT3, I do not see something similar to a non-existant industry.
- ALT5 is verified as per below.
- ALT6, I do not see something similar to a logical business strategy.

- Coin945 Four the remaining six hooks are good to go. Did I miss something on the other two hooks (ALT3 and ALT6)? Thanks. Flibirigit (talk) 19:03, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hi @Flibirigit:
- Alt 3 The source says: "...The adventure games industry in Israel is almost nonexistent and we are interested not only in bringing Piposh back to life, but also to show that there is room for original gaming ideas coming out of Israel."
- Alt 6 Apololigies I gave you the wrong source. In the article it's sourced from here with the quote ""We're working out of the joy of creation because it's a game that can not be justified because of an economic direction".--Coin945 (talk) 00:12, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Google translation of the Hebrew source article:
Search 2018: Exclusive interview with new game creators By Gad Freund In 1999, the actor, entertainer and finger puppeteer Hezi Ptab burst into our lives. Hezi Ptab is the main protagonist in a series of laughable computer games - completely Israeli "color and click" quests, in which we toured the world of the game, collected objects, conducted dialogues with characters, and tried to advance with the plot to the end. The game had four titles that were released between 1999 and 2003 by the Israeli company Giliotin. Last week the creators of the series Renard (Renan) and Roy Gluzman announced that after 20 years they are returning the series of games with a new and exciting adventure. We sat in an exclusive interview with the creators of Ptab to get all the details about the comeback of the Israeli quests game series. Renard and Roy and Elad Thank you for your time! I have to ask - the correctness of the rumors? Is the Fetcher series coming back to our lives after so long? Roy: If you call it life, then yes, the rumors are true. Why now? What made you want to return the series of games? About twenty years ago, I did not meet with Renard. He was abroad, and taught, lectured and did a doctorate, and wasted time on such academic nonsense, and then it just happened that we met ... and that's the first thing we talked about. Renan: We talked about it but we did not really mean it ... The demand for a new game came from below. Over the years Facebook has created Facebook groups (here, here) run by the closest circle of fans. Animator Nir Shachar, programmers, designers, serious people ... They've been talking about this for a few years now. Some even tried to spend a new game a few years ago but gave up in the middle. I do not blame them, the trauma of creating a computer game of such a megalomaniac size is still well remembered. Roi and I just played with the idea ... but then Elad Tabakov came from Haifa but originally from the krayot who for some reason took us seriously ... Elad: I'm fulfilling a childhood dream here. The next time I got the idea, I cuffed him and his brother in my basement, which I transferred from the Krayot to Haifa and forced them to start working. Is Galiotin back? Who are you in the production team and what is their role? Roy: We recruited an elite and colorful commando squad of high-tech deserters who refused to raise a white flag and dry up in the city. Gal Pasternak and Gal Hagag, who work to bring sensual delusions and a motor thrill experience unlike any other in the gamers' community. On the animation Adir Prior and Amir Dweik create a spectacular pyrotechnical animation that will cause visual damage to end users. And the management of the product, New Media and New Age Elad Tabakov, the psychological warfare man, the tricks and astrology of the Krayot. Renan: By the way, everyone played a search in a dark period of their childhood, so it's fascinating in his case because the generation that grew up on Pieter shared his revival. We built, if it was up to us it was still in 254 colors on a 640x480 screen, what's wrong ?! How is this game different from the previous one? Roy: Last time we were just me and Renard, and we had no idea what we were going to do. Now that's another world, we're a team of seven people who has no idea what he's going to do .... The game is going to be released as a four-part trilogy, why did you decide to divide the game? What will be the length of each part? And will they be released parallel to the computer and the mobile? Elad: When the original games were launched, their main audience was people who understood what a computer game was, how to insert a CD into the drive, to operate and control the game, which in the 1990s was significantly less common today. For us and for other development reasons, we decided to make the game accessible to the public as widely as possible in a number of ways: The first is to allow the game to be played in Mobile! Yes, the game will go to the mobile and the computer at the same time so that everyone can choose whether he wants to suffer from him at home, on the train on Paul Volum or at work. The second way is to split it, like other adventure adventure games, comic books and soap operas, into a few easy-to-digest chapters (3-4 hours), to give the player significant decisions that will affect the current episode and the following and many reasons to play again and again. You can take as an example of telltale games only instead of a wolf detective we have my chest and instead of walking dead there will be extras who do not so want to be on the set. This decision allows us to shorten the production time significantly and bring out the first chapter in less than a year, hoping that the subsequent chapters will arrive quickly and before the brothers become completely senile and have to export the writing to India (the goal is less than half a year). Rennard: The truth? - a trilogy made us laugh in four episodes ... real. This is not really a calculated strategy. Pitek has never been made out of some reasonable business consideration and the reason for this is that there is no. As you mentioned, the game is going to be two-dimensional like the first games in the series. The 3D search game was not well received mainly because of the graphics, but if you are still planning to improve the graphics? Roy: We work very hard so there will be no improvement in graphics. It is not easy. We now have a team of professional animators and it is difficult to accustom them to the very low standards we set in search. It is a daily war to lower the threshold to a basic level ... but we are very determined and I am sure we will succeed in breaking their perfectionism. Amir Dwick (animator of the game): The design in 2D is fun, free and fast. And compared to the work in 3D, allows to see a finished product very quickly. Thanks to this we have room for many attempts and great creative freedom in the graphic work. The original designs are wonderful to me, they have a unique, wild style, and the figures are full of character, sometimes bordering on the grotesque. We have to work with style, and take it to new places. I work on designing the game world, we want it to be rich, diverse and intriguing. Adir Freiber (animator of the game): My main role is character design. We maintain the design and proportions of the original game, but I as an animator must give a new character to the characters to be funny and full of character, and of course to create animations much better than the original games. Rennard: But it is very likely to branch out of control. In the previous games, we met Hezi Pfet, an actor, entertainer and finger puppeteer, on his way to Hollywood to jump-start his failed career. The new game opens with the knowledge that Fitz was cast to play her body in a Hollywood movie with a high budget. The job is not to his liking, to say the least, and Hazi is trying to sabotage the production in order to upgrade himself to a leading position. The plot becomes entangled when a murder affair obscures the set. How did Hezi Ptek react when you told him he was going to be in another game? Did you tell him that right? Hezi is still not aware of the new production. He disappeared 20 years ago and we have not been in touch with him ever since. We sent his brother, Tzachi Pift, a doctor of modern art, to locate him for us. You can track his Facebook search here. Are we expecting to see the return of more iconic figures from the past? When you open a sewage pit, you will not know what will come out of there ... Unfortunately, Amos Shuv z "l can not go back and talk to Fritz von Bezzez - the crazy German psychiatrist of the kishke, does that mean we will not see him again? Roi: Amos again is really lost tragic and very unfortunate. In fact we have not thought about it yet. Fritz is not scheduled to appear as a key figure in the game, but if he appears as a guest character we will have to find a creative solution to the matter. In any event, he will always remember the characterization given him by Amos again. Fetch games are a milestone in Israeli games. The series, and the game that came before it "in the fun of the ratings" were very influenced by the Israeli mood, they were loaded with the best of the general situation in the country, and were full of salads, like David Zar, Shay Avivi and Mani Peer. Roy: Unfortunately, Mani Peer is no longer with us either. But Shai Avivi has no excuse ... He is definitely in the sights. Rennard: That's part of us and the work we do. This is already very evident from the contents of the Patron campaign that we called "the pizzaur". As we know, the shnoor is a long-standing tradition from which we successfully succeeded the Zionist Organization, the drying up of the Hula, the Torah scholars and what is not ... about new celebrities, of course. Hezi Ptp is an actor and has friends (but more hate) who are also players. We always liked to mix reality with imagination into one nonsense nonsense ... as if one really believed that his uncle was a real stranger. Are we also looking forward to the return or at least to Elimelech Egoz's kamio of the dating craze? Roy: You can not tell where things will deteriorate as soon as we start writing the script ... For our IGN readers - show us something from the new game that you have not seen and shared anywhere else. Rennard: It really came out today, this is the image page of Tawfiq Bibush, the Egyptian film star. Taufik studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. It broke into Egyptian consciousness in the late 1990s thanks to a computer game called "Bibush" where a poor player played on a ferry on the banks of the Nile and a murder mystery had to be solved. Is this a blatant copying of the game Ptek? - This is revealed on the set of the new game ... To create the game, you created the "Paptor" project on the PATREON site, where ordinary people like me could help you pick up the game. Tell us how we can help you bring this project to a dazzling success that is worthy of Hezi Ptab's status. Elad: Production of games (or any content creation in Israel) is a challenging task and draws resources. Luckily for us, we have raised a dedicated team that loves Pecket and wants to see him return like the fans they are and also to make the brothers' excellent humor accessible to the general public. We want to make the game as original as possible and as limited as possible, so the first stage of the production is to go to the PATREON campaign, a site that allows people to support creators of content they like over time, and in our case, throughout the development process, We go there with the understanding that only the fans can bring Pfait back to life because the adventure games industry in Israel is almost nonexistent and we are interested not only in bringing Pfitz back to life, but also to show that there is room for original work and gameplay. We want the PATREON to give us a backwind from fans, but also from people who want to see original source content (old) in Israel, especially computer games. In return, the filultropopists will receive an exclusive glimpse into the world of development through regular updates, live broadcasts with illustrators and creators, and many more surprises in addition to a unique merchandising. At a later stage, we will probably go to a more standard mass fund, where we will also sell the game to all segments of the public at the first pace (of course, the patrons will receive significant benefits there) before distribution to the computer and mobile. Either way, we will pour out our soul to provide the audience with many hours in which Pift speaks nonstop and a lot of characters try to put a few words into it. Renard Roy and Elad Thank you! We are happy to hear about your new project! Good luck! The first episode of the new game is expected to be released in September 2019.
