RADCAL

  • ... that the RADCAL satellite, designed for a three-year lifespan, operated for almost twenty? Source: "RADCAL was designed to last for three years, but remained operational until May 2013." )
    • ALT1:... that RADCAL was the first satellite whose attitude was determined using GPS data? Source: "It was the first satellite to use a GPS to determine its attitude." [1]
  • Comment: QPQ exempt, this is DYK nomination #3 for me. I recognize that the main hook's source is basically an Air Force press release, but this is a simple statement of fact and I believe the source is reliable for it.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: None required.
Overall: Looks good to me! Article is new and long enough (RPS comes in at 1632 B), and the hook is very interesting and sourced. Earwig looks good, and no QPQ is required. Passing with preference for ALT0. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 18:37, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
