Regional council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
edit- ... that Marie-Guite Dufay was not elected president of the regional council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in a single round despite the left holding an absolute majority of seats?
- ALT1:
... that members of the Radical Party of the Left initially voted against electing Marie-Guite Dufay as president of the regional council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in order to secure vice-presidencies?

- This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. QPQ has been done. I am approving the original hook but not ALT1 which relies on rumour rather than fact. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:00, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, I came by to promote this, but I have some issues with the hook. The article states that Dufay was not elected in the first round, only in the second round. It would have been interesting if Dufay wasn't elected at all, but the article states that she's the incumbent. Also, it's not exactly uncommon for leaders to take several rounds before being elected anyway. Perhaps the hook could be rephrased in a more unique way, or maybe a different hook could be proposed here? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:11, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- I think it's worth noting simply because it was unexpected, but I'm unsure about what an alternate hook might look like. Mélencron (talk) 13:41, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Narutolovehinata5 As this nomination is getting nowhere, and because I can't see scope in the article for a more interesting hook, would you consider restoring the tick? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:22, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'll ask first Mélencron what they think. ALT0 is workable but may need to be rephrased, to emphasize that Dufay would end up being elected anyway (the hook as it stands implies that she was not). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:43, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- This is the oldest DYK nomination there is right now and I don't really consider either of the existing hooks that interesting either, so I'd suggest withdrawing/archiving this nomination. Mélencron (talk) 13:13, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Thoughts? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:20, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Mélencron and Narutolovehinata5: Well, it's up to Mélencron really. The hook could be rephrased:

- ALT2 ... that Marie-Guite Dufay was not elected president of the regional council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in the first round of voting, despite the left holding an absolute majority of seats? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:27, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth's rephrasing of the original hook counts as "unique wording" in my book and is approved. I'm promoting this now. Yoninah (talk) 23:00, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
