Rhinogobius flumineus
- ... that the lizard goby holds onto a rock in fast-flowing water by means of a sucker formed from two fins? Source: "This fish usually holds itself stationary on substrate rocks by means of a ‘sucker’ made of two ventral fins with the body line curving either to the right or left."

- Comment: I do not wish to use the image in this nomination because it is a featured picture soon to appear on POTD.
5x expanded by Cwmhiraeth (talk). Self-nominated at 09:54, 21 December 2019 (UTC).
- . Expanded 5x, no copyvio issues, not stub, QPQ supplied. Hook is interesting, is in the article and followed by an inline citation to reputable source containing hook fact. Appears straightforward. No image. Whispyhistory (talk) 10:47, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: do you have a cite for the common name? One of your sources calls it the stream goby. Yoninah (talk) 12:43, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I have added a citation. You may want to delay promoting this, because the image is POTD today, which was the reason I expanded the article in the first place. It will be interesting to see how the page views compare. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:58, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
