Robert Hunter (lyricist)
- ... that Robert Hunter (pictured) was once paid to take pschedelic drugs in a program covertly sponsored by the CIA, and in doing so had hallucinations that later inspired some of his lyrics?
- Reviewed: Operation Harvest Festival
- Comment: I would welcome suggestions on how to make the hook a little less wordy.
Improved to Good Article status by Vanamonde93 (talk). Self-nominated at 16:18, 15 March 2020 (UTC).
- ALT1... that Robert Hunter (pictured) took pschedelic drugs in a program covertly funded by the CIA, giving him hallucinations that later inspired some of his Grateful Dead lyrics?
- New GA article. Long enough. Image is suitably licensed. Hook facts are cited inline (have provided an alternative; should include the band name), and are interesting. Article is neutrally written, and detected no copyright issues. QPQ has been done. DYK is good to go. Britishfinance (talk) 00:23, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Britishfinance: Good point re: band name, but I find the wording of ALT1 a bit awkward; how about ALT2, below? Vanamonde (Talk) 01:13, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- ALT2 ... that Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter (pictured) drew artistic inspiration from hallucinations he had while taking pschedelic drugs in a program covertly sponsored by the CIA?
- Vanamonde93, I like ALT2 even more (should it be artistic inspiration, to clarify the area of impact?). Britishfinance (talk) 01:32, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Britishfinance: Sure, that works. Tweaked a little. Vanamonde (Talk) 02:32, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Great, good to go (per above), with ALT2 as the hook. Britishfinance (talk) 07:23, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
