Ryder Jackson

edit

* ... that some Home and Away viewers praised the heterosexual character Ryder Jackson for his positive reaction to a gay kiss? Source: "Viewers turned to social media after the episode aired to express their reactions to the emotional moment. Many were supportive of Williams' portrayal of Ty and the way Ryder (Lukas Radovich) reacted on-screen." [1]

    • ALT1:... that Home and Away actor Lukas Radovich found his character's sensitive side interesting to play? Source: "Showing a bit of his sensitive side and a bit of his caring side has been really interesting for me to play." [2]
  • ALT2:... that Lukas Radovich believed his audition for the Home and Away character Ryder Jackson went so bad that he booked a flight to Perth, but was then offered the role?[3] “I thought I did the most terrible audition, I felt like I completely bombed it… And after that I booked a flight to go to Perth to visit some friends,” he said. “But then I got the call to say I’d got the job.”

  • Full review to follow, but right now I have two suggestions. First, I see an "it's" in the article which should be an "its". And secondly, the "Introduction" section feels a bit too long, especially when you consider that the subsequent two sections on plot details are shorter. Finally, although my preferred hook is ALT0, I think it's interesting as a layman that it's the actor's first role and that he flew to Perth to audition for it; maybe you can suggest that as an alternate hook? Thanks. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:40, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
I have corrected the mistaken instances of "it's". Radovich decided to fly to Perth to visit friends but was offered the role. In the interview it states that his agent believed it was relevant to producers offering the actor the role. Anyway - if you can think of an Alt hook I am happy to go with one. I thought the two above were rather interesting.Rain the 1 16:29, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
@Raintheone: How about proposing a hook on that? Tying in that it was his first TV role, and that he had an intention of visiting friends when he wasa offered the role? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 21:28, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5: I created a new hook. I hope that it is acceptable and if you have any other suggestions to tweak it, great.Rain the 1 08:33, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
I suppose it's an okay hook. I'm worried that it might be considered a BLP violation because of its negative tone, but it is based on a statement that the subject himself said, so I'm not sure. I'll have to request a second opinion on its suitability, but in the meantime, all of the article requirements (newness, length, sourcing, paraphrasing, QPQ, etc.) have been accomplished. • Hook checks out. It is not a BLP violation as the hook is clearly stating it is the subjects own view, and is based on what the subject himself said in a reliable source. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 18:15, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Grammar is incorrect - should read "went so badly" not "went so bad". MurielMary (talk) 00:38, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
