SM U-21 (Germany)
edit- ... that the British scout cruiser HMS Pathfinder was sunk (pictured) by the German U-boat SM U-21?
- ALT1:... that the sinking of the British scout cruiser HMS Pathfinder (pictured) by the German U-boat SM U-21 in 1914 was the first time a warship was sunk by a modern submarine?
- ALT2:... that the German U-boat SM U-21 sank two British battleships, the HMS Majestic and HMS Triumph, in a span of three days?

Article was promoted to Good Article status yesterday. Offline sources accepted in good faith for paraphrasing and copyright issues. I'm slightly concerned about the use of a self-published source (O'Connell) although it isn't cited often in the text and the hook fact is cited to different sources (Williamson and Lowell). Hook fact is noteworthy and interesting; another possibility would be the U-21 sinking two battleships in three days. No QPQ required in this case.
