Sarah Attar

edit
  • ... that California student Sarah Attar is one of Saudi Arabia's first female athletes at the Olympics, and is due to compete at the 2012 Games in an event she hasn't competed in since high school?

  • QPQ done. New enough. Long enough. Article is fully supported by inline sources. No images to check copyright wise. Article is neutral enough. A few places where article is present tense, which means it will date and be factually inaccurate going forward. (How long will she attend the University of Pepperdine?) Plagiarism spot check [1] [2] shows no cause for concern. Hook is neutral enough and properly formatted. It is supported by inline citations which confirm information. Good to go. --LauraHale (talk) 21:10, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Well she's a sophomore at the moment so a while yet. Hopefully more will come out during the Olympics itself which will allow the article to be updated. Miyagawa (talk) 21:54, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
  • But there is no guarantee some one will update it and it is unclear to reads that "currently" might have been written in 2008. (Some of the Olympic articles from 2008 suffer this problem and post Games, no one went back and fixed them.) Hence the need for As of THIS DATE, this was the situation. --LauraHale (talk)
  • Why the lead is so short and unsourced? ZiaKhan 02:18, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
All material in lead found in body. Per WP:SUMMARY, lead should summarise article. Lead can be short. --LauraHale (talk) 02:40, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
and unsourced? ZiaKhan 04:13, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Leads should have ZERO sources in them. Leads should summarize the article, providing no new information in them. What information appears in the lead that does not appear in the article with a source? --LauraHale (talk) 04:25, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Still good to go. --LauraHale (talk) 04:25, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

  • Ok, then should go. ZiaKhan 04:44, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
