Saunders Creek, Alberta

edit
  • ... that at Saunders Creek, Alberta, coal miners would climb over the greased carcass of a pig on July 1? Source: Information poster at the site, pictured at left in the article (legible at higher resolution).
    • ALT1:... that at Saunders Creek, Alberta, the stairs adjacent to the hotel were a popular toboggan run in the winter months? Source: Information poster at the site, pictured at left in the article (legible at higher resolution).

  • The article is new enough, long enough, and well cited with inline citations. Earwig shows 0.0% chance of plagiarism. A QPQ check shows you're good there too. I think where we're going to run into some trouble is on the hook facts. It's a nice idea to include some of the snippets from the informational poster to provide some social-personal background for the article, but I don't think it is a reliable enough source for a hook fact. The primary issue is that there's no attribution of authorship, either on the part of a person or an association. Unless that can be provided somehow, I think it might be better to take a fact from elsewhere in the article. One possibility that came to mind as I read the article was something like ... that the total production of the Saunders Creek mine was 853,100 tonnes? Yes, much more boring, but more of a reliable fact. — AJDS talk 15:38, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
I added this information to the article, and would like to suggest the following as a possible hook:

I like ALT2 and the info about the fossils. Georgialh (talk) 21:24, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

  • - Length, Date, Cite, QPQ exempt, and Earwigs check. ALT2 approved. Mifter (talk) 02:59, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
