Scale Lane Footbridge
- ... that from above Scale Lane Footbridge (pictured) looks like an apostrophe? Source: "This apostrophe-shaped bridge in Hull, England, by London architects McDowell+Benedetti features a rotating mechanism so it can swing open to make room for passing boats."
- ALT1: ... that Scale Lane Footbridge (pictured) allows pedestrians to remain on the bridge while it opens and closes? Source: The bridge was the first in the world to allow people to remain on the bridge while it is opening and closing.
- ALT2: ... that Scale Lane Footbridge (pictured) includes a restaurant and a seating area? Source: The Bridge has a restaurant and other seating for bridge visitors. The cost of the bridge was £7 million.

- Comment: I am not sure the free photo is sufficient to demonstrate the uniqueness of the bridge. So if approved we have the option of leaving it out. England has freedom of panorama: "Under UK law, freedom of panorama covers all buildings as well as most three-dimensional works such as sculptures that are permanently situated in a public place."

Hook eligibility:
- Cited:
- Interesting:
- Other problems: - The hooks might need a little work. For example, "... that from above the Scale Lane Footbridge (pictured) looks like an apostrophe?" It might be helpful to mention that it is a swing bridge (I edited the article to include this key point), thus: "... that from above the Scale Lane Footbridge (pictured) is a swing bridge that looks like an apostrophe?"
Image eligibility:
- Freely licensed: - Hook has a freely licensed picture, but it does not clearly show the bridge's comma-like form (a 'fair use' image shows this)
- Used in article:
- Clear at 100px:

Overall: I prefer the Main hook but, as the nominator notes, the free use image does not convey this form. Of the others, ALT1, if reworked slightly to mention it is a swing bridge, would perhaps be the better option, and does not require a photo to show this. Also should the hook mention the bridge's location - for example: "that Hull's Scale Lane Footbridge is a swing bridge where pedestrians can remain on it while it opens and closes?"
