- Comment: This is the last of my five "free" nominations. I am - of course - open for different hook ideas! Many thanks in advance for reviewing!

Unfortunately, this article is not eligible for DYK - it was not created, expanded 5x, or promoted to GA in the 7 days before nomination.(As a side note, were it eligible, there are several issues that would need addressed. Most significantly, at 1,500 words, the plot summary is more than twice the recommendation at WP:NOVELPLOT.) Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:50, 28 June 2022 (UTC)- @Pi.1415926535: Hi, many thanks for taking time to review this! May I ask why you consider this article illegible for DYK? It was moved to mainspace on 6 June 2022. I self-nominated it on 12 June 2022. WP:DYKCRIT states that the time in non-mainspace is irrelevant ("Articles that have been worked on exclusively in a user or user talk subpage or at articles for creation or in the Draft namespace and then moved (or in some cases pasted) to the article mainspace are considered new as of the date they reach the mainspace.") --- Furthermore, I thought that article do not have to comply with all wikipolicy to be eligible but only the one's stated in WP:DYKCRIT (WP:NOVELPLOT not being one of them). Thanks again for your time! WatkynBassett (talk) 19:30, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- @WatkynBassett: My sincere apologies - I somehow missed that move to mainspace. (Note: in the future, please select "moved to mainspace" on the nomination form to make this clear.) Article is in fact new, long enough, and meets core policies. (I do believe that the plot summary should be substantially reduced per WP:NOVELPLOT, but as you note, that is outside the DYK criteria.) ALT0 hook is reasonably interesting, short enough, and cited; I prefer it to ALT1, which is not particularly punchy. QPQ not needed (5th nomination). Should be good to go. - @Pi.1415926535: Thanks a lot for this quick and much appreciated answer! I hope that I remember to use "moved to mainspace" next time (I did not know that this was a thing). You are, of course, right about the plot length, but I did not see a way to shorten it due to the multi-timeline structure of the novel - so my thinking is that an appearance on DYK would maybe spark the collaborative effort.
