Reviewed: This is my very first DYK nomination ever, so if I understand the instructions correctly, I do not have to review a DYK nomination yet. If I misunderstood this please let me know.
Comment: I created alternate hooks because you cannot include both "Bonnano crime family" and the names of the two children and stay under the 200 character limit. The hook with the two children's names better matches the wording of the article itself.

I believe the hook would be more interesting if it mentioned that he disappeared all of a sudden. What about these two ones:

I thought the kidnapping angle would be more interesting, note the Informer article is the source for the disappeared part of the hook. Unfortunately it's paywalled. ALT3 and ALT4 catches the reader's attention, as it gives the impression this mafia boss was ammazzato. No one would think he possibly travelled back to Italy. But you prefer we can continue working on the three hooks you provided.--Jetstreamer ^Talk 19:21, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

How about this slight change in ALT3, to reflect that it's DiGaetano's stepping down in that's definitely dated in the Informer article, his disappearance is "shortly after"? Libertybison (talk) 19:26, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Sounds good. I've striked out the rest of the ALTs. I've also checked the length of the prose and is well over the 1500 minimum. As a sidenote, you might want to add something about DiGateano's dissapearance in the lead. Good to go.--Jetstreamer ^Talk 19:35, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
