Overall:
The article was promoted to GA status 21 November, so within 7 days of the nomination. Has c. 9,500 prose characters. No copyvio problems detected, sourced densely and written in a neutral manner. The hook is under 200 characters with an interesting fact. It is backed up by a source (also cited inline). I don't know the website very well but it appears to be reliable on this subject. I'm not sure everybody will be familiar with the term "pirate", but, given that brevity is of the essence, it's probably okay to leave it like this with a link. Author's QPQ confirmed — they were the first reviewers in the linked nomination. Good to go.
