- Comment: Found a draft stuck at AFC, admittedly just expanded it on impulse and pushed it to mainspace.
Moved to mainspace by Jakhar Singh (talk) and Juxlos (talk). Nominated by Juxlos (talk) at 14:32, 19 November 2021 (UTC).
- New, long enough, no close paraphrasing and neutral phrasing -- all check. Some outstanding issues: (1) the article is not compliant with the format recommended under WP:MOS; (2) the picture is credited as the editor's own work, and I highly doubt that this is the case; (3) the hook is sources the The Better India, which I am not entirely sure is a reliable source; (4) the citation for the fact used as the hook cites a second source, in the text itself -- however, that source does not mention the specific fact of the funeral -- that citation, and all others like it, will need to be separated into what they verify and dont verify. - @Dahn: (1) Is fixed. (2) I thought that too, but then I couldn't prove otherwise - I checked the Indian presidential archives (which had a bunch of very similar images for the same thing) and nothing. But regardless, removed it to be sure. (3)/(4) The Better India seems to be a mostly feel-good news, but it does fail to have an editorial list, I suppose. Removed the statement, and maybe we can go for a simpler hook:
