Sirra Wally Ndow-Njie
edit... that Sirra Wally Ndow-Njie has served as the Gambia's Minister of Petroleum, Minister of Energy and Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture?President Yahya Jammeh has appointed Sira Wally Ndow-Njie as Minister of Petroleum under the Office of the President, State TV reported last night. It would be noted that Mrs Ndow-Njie was first appointed to serve in Cabinet on 25 December 2009 as minister of Energy and removed from office on 10 June 2010 resident Yahya Jammeh has decided to relieve Mrs Sira Wally Ndow-Njie of her ministerial position as minister of petroleum and energy with effect from April 18, 2016.Subsequently, she has been appointed deputy minister for Tourism and Culture with immediate effect.

- Comment: Possibly a more interesting hook could be made from her arrest. But I would be concerned by BLP issues, particularly as the charges were later dropped

- Long enough, new enough, neutral, well referenced, and free from copyright concerns as far as I can see. The hook is supported by inline citations and a QPQ has been done. I agree that advertising her arrest on the main page would not be a good idea as far as BLP is concerned, even if it was overturned. 97198 (talk) 11:44, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, the hook reads like a resume. Perhaps you could find additional biographical details about her that could lead to a better hook. Yoninah (talk) 23:43, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- How about: ALT1: ... that Gambian politician Sirra Wally Ndow-Njie met with North Korean president of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong-nam in 2010? That strikes me as fairly unusual with NK being quite an insular country. But if not I don't mind if this nomination is dropped. Not all articles are interesting, after all! - Dumelow (talk) 06:15, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
