Songhoy Blues
edit... that the Malian band Songhoy Blues was formed after jihadists had banned music?
- ALT1 ... that the Malian band Songhoy Blues was formed in exile after jihadists banned music in their home town of Timbuktu?

- New enough and long enough, but only just (1505 characters). Could the hook be expanded a bit based on the detail in this source - particularly "The band (from the Songhoy ethnic group) formed when Islamic extremists banned music in their home town of Timbuktu and they fled to the Malian capital of Bamako"? It would be good to know from the hook where music was banned, and where the band subsequently formed. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:50, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, Cordless Larry. I've suggested an alternative (above), which provides more detail but keeps it relatively short and punchy. FunkyCanute (talk) 09:24, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- Revised hook sounds good. Thanks, FunkyCanute. Cordless Larry (talk) 09:26, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
