Square dancing (China)
edit- ... that many of China's "dancing grannies" (see video) are motivated in part by nostalgia for the dances of the Cultural Revolution during their youth?
- ALT1:... that a Beijing man fired a shotgun into the air and set his three Tibetan Mastiffs on the local "dancing grannies" (see video) because their music was so loud he couldn't sleep?
- ALT2:... that residents of an apartment complex in the Chinese city of Wuhan threw human feces on some "dancing grannies" (see video) because they were tired of the noise?
- ALT3:... that, after public ridicule, China's State General Administration of Sports now says the 12 routines it developed for square dancers (video) aren't mandatory?
- Comment: We can use the picture if the video doesn't work out.

- ALT4:... that square dancing in China has 100 million practitioners? (or maybe use "Chinese square dancing" or a variant.) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:08, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- Article has been expanded 5x recently. It is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. All hooks are verified with inline refs. All are interesting, although ALT3 less so than others. I'll let the promoter decide which one to use. QPQ is done. No copyvio found. The video and image are both freely licensed. Good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 22:44, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
