Stangl Pottery
- ...
that Stangl Pottery, when it had a different name, produced a precursor to the modern water cooler named the Germ-Proof Filter?

Overall: Two points: (1) All good except for the hook. The idea for the hook and its citation are fine, but the bit about the different name is awkward. May I suggest something like, "... that Stangl Pottery, under its earlier name of Fulper, etc."? (2) You have a clear, free-use image in the article, which could be used in this nomination; pictures attract extra views at DYK, so it's worth a shot. Note: I have copyedited the article's language, and added a commons category; that will not affect this review. Storye book (talk) 18:46, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Storye book:
ALT1 ... that Stangl Pottery, under its earlier name of Fulper, produced a precursor to the modern water cooler named the Germ-Proof Filter? The image was there before I expanded the article and I'm not sure how to work it into a hook. I was hoping to find a free use picture of the Germ-Proof Filter, but I had no luck. SL93 (talk) 18:57, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- with ALT1. Thank you, SL93, yes you're right about the picture and this hook. If you would like to use the picture, you can always suggest another hook. Meanwhile, ALT1 is fine. Storye book (talk) 20:53, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

- @Yoninah: I’m not sure how it’s hard to follow. SL93 (talk) 01:12, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Well, you wrote it. I'm the second person to see it and I thought there are too many clauses and too many names. If you'd like an alt suggestion, I could think of one tomorrow. Yoninah (talk) 01:19, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: You’re actually the third person after the reviewer. I also only took the reviewer’s suggestion. You can think of an alt, but I feel that there is no need. SL93 (talk) 01:22, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- I think it's fair for me to bring this up on the DYK talk page because myself and the reviewer are fine with the hook...so I brought it up there. SL93 (talk) 01:35, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

- @ Yoninah, SL93. Sorry for the delay, I've just seen this. My previous suggestion was about awkward phraseology, and not really about hookiness. There have been some quite serious articles about this pottery recently, talking about pottery made in the Fulper days, and calling it Fulper pottery. So maybe we can do the same, just in the hook? For example: ... "... that Fulper Pottery produced ... etc.? Would that please you both? Storye book (talk) 10:40, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, that's a good suggestion. Yoninah (talk) 12:15, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

- Thank you, SL93. Good to go - again! Storye book (talk) 22:06, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, very nice, thank you SL93. Yoninah (talk) 22:14, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
