Overall:

Qualifies under all DYK criterion. Recent GA promotion (one day before DYK nom). Neutral and sourced article and hooks. I do NOT like ALT1. Although not a blatant COPYVIO in the article, the hook is an even closer paraphrasing of the first sentence of Gifford (1996). ALT0, ALT2 and ALT3 are all good to go.
