Steven Matz (pictured) was the first pitcher in Major League Baseball history to record three hits and four RBIs in his debut game, and the 11th player at any position to do so?

- ALT1:... that Steven Matz (pictured) was the first pitcher in New York Mets history to allow two runs or fewer in each of his first five career starts?
- ALT2:... that before they were on the New York Mets together, pitchers Steven Matz (pictured) and Marcus Stroman faced each other in a high school game one scout called "one of the best duels I've ever seen"?

  - New enough (passed GA within 7 days), long enough, and passed Earwgis copyvio detector. As a sports fan I find this interesting but now sure about for a broader audience. As stated above, many do not know what RBI stands for which is meat of ALT0. To me, ALT1 is better but still a little niche.
