- Interesting career, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. We will have to work on the hook. Saying "under something", without establishing that it is a person, is too misleading, - could be a structure, no? The "individual tree" thing is not in the article. How about mentioning Indonesia? - Article: what is an "alumni university"? I made several copy-edits, please check. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:28, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: fixed alumni, and changed "under" to "tenure as mayor". Removed "individual" for simplicity. I'd say mentioning Indonesia is a bit overkill - this guy is a mayor of a single mid-sized city in Indonesia, not the President. Juxlos (talk) 13:33, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- Well, I don't plan to make him president, just say it's not in Finland, but fine ;) - How is this, to avoid the possessives:
- ALT1:
... that as mayor of Pontianak, Sutarmidji launched an app allowing tracking of trees in the city? - both, and open for other suggestions. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:40, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- Well, he didn't exactly launch it by himself but I assume any reader would get the idea. Second one flows better, I guess. Juxlos (talk) 14:01, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- As I said, better wording always welcome. If he had nothing to do with it, we shold look for a different fact ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:08, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: As in he didn't code it by himself :p. Maybe ALT2:
... that with Sutarmidji as mayor, Pontianak built an app allowing tracking of trees in the city?Juxlos (talk) 14:42, 14 August 2018 (UTC)- also approved, - although I think "launching" something doesn't imply "self-made". Striking first, ok? ALT1 and ALT2 are approved. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:57, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

Returned from prep for further work per discussion at WT:DYK#Prep 4: Tree app Yoninah (talk) 12:13, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Juxlos: thank you for the expansion. But as noted at the WT:DYK discussion, this really isn't specific to the subject. What do you think about:
- ALT3:
... that in 2017, Sutarmidji, currently governor of West Kalimantan, was named one of the best mayors in Indonesia by the Ministry of Home Affairs?Yoninah (talk) 21:04, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Personally, I don't mind, but not sure if other editors would take too kindly to a DYK that sounds this praisy. But then again maybe I'm just too skeptic and I did put that sentence there. Juxlos (talk) 15:00, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Juxlos: So what else would you suggest?
- ALT4: ... that as a child, Sutarmidji used to hawk newspapers close to the mayor's office in Pontianak, which he would later occupy? Yoninah (talk) 21:01, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

- Great. New reviewer needed for ALT4. Pinging @Gerda Arendt:. Yoninah (talk) 22:36, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
