Swash (typography)

  • ... that Phil Martin was accused of "typographic incest" for redesigning the font Helvetica with swashes?
  • ALT1:... that Phil Martin redesigned the font Helvetica with swashes, an action described by one designer as "typographic incest"?

5x expanded by Blythwood (talk). Self nominated at 21:16, 31 August 2014 (UTC).

  • The expansion is new enough, but not long enough. Using the prosesize tool I show a 271B to 913B prose expansion (3.3x), and well below the 1500B threshold for a DYK. Refactoring the long list in the middle of the article into prose would be one way to address this. Hook is interesting and verified. Mackensen (talk) 15:31, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
  • OK. This is as much of an extension as I have time to do. I have refactored it into a logical format, using the article on serif font's categorisation framework as a structure, and added a bit more information to the start. Blythwood (talk) 16:24, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
