- @Onegreatjoke: Might I suggest:
- ALT1 ... that James White's Fort is found on the James White Parkway, which was named after the American general James White?
- ALT2 ... that portions of Tennessee State Route 158 have been called "Front Street", "Front Avenue", "Lakefront Drive", "Neyland Drive", and "James White Parkway"?

- @Freedom4U and Onegreatjoke: Sorry for the delayed response. How about "... that James White's Fort is found on James White Parkway, which was named after an American general who founded Knoxville, Tennessee?" Also, FYI, in the Eastern U.S., we rarely use "the" in front of highway names. Bneu2013 (talk) 15:50, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
- Is that so? I'm from Jersey and I say "the Garden State Parkway" and "the New Jersey Turnpike". I do say "I-95" without "the", but that's not a highway name. (I've moved your reply a bit, if you don't mind. That way everything is chronological) :3 F4U (they/it) 16:04, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Freedom4U: - there are some proper highway and road names that we put "the" in front of, but this isn't one of them. There's no clear pattern that I can find to differentiate between the two; I think it's just a matter of chance. Bneu2013 (talk) 17:26, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
