- I'm not really sure about this hook, it's not too interesting. Hotels in the US generally don't discourage LGBT guests, right? Maybe something about the 1940s exterior but modern interior would be a better way to go? Mark Arsten (talk) 03:28, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- Also, I'm not quite sure this is long enough. Several sentences in the lead are repeated a couple paragraphs down, otherwise it would be under 1500k. Mark Arsten (talk) 03:34, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- I've expanded the About section up to about 1590 chars.
- ALT2:... that despite the 1940s exterior of The Dupont Hotel in Washington, D.C., the hotel has a modern interior?
- ALT3:... that despite the 1940s exterior of The Dupont Hotel in Washington, D.C., the hotel has a modern interior after being renovated in 2009?

- This doesn't seem to be supported by the citation: "In 2009 the hotel underwent a US$52[5] renovation, adding a ninth floor and a duplex Presidential Suite." Also, I'm concerned about the references, several are to promotional sources, i.e. write-ups from Expedia, Orbitz, and Hotels.com. I'd like to see better sourcing before this is approved. Mark Arsten (talk) 06:49, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- I've added this source, which should do it. ⇒TAP 07:01, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'd prefer if you removed the promotional sources, perhaps replacing them with reviews from the New York Times or Washington Post. Mark Arsten (talk) 16:11, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, I made some tweaks, and I think it now meets the DYK criteria by a hair. Mark Arsten (talk) 01:59, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
