The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls
edit- ... that Bandai Namco Games removed a gameplay mechanic from its video game The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls after the Consumer Affairs Agency determined that it violated Japanese law?
- ALT1:... that the video game The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls's anime adaptation will premiere on eleven Japanese television stations on January 10, 2015 at or around midnight?
- ALT2:... that when the video game The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls was released in South Korea, it featured a new character exclusive to the region's version?
- Reviewed: The Garden of Words
- Comment: If accepted and if possible, please hold the hook for January 9, 2015 at 12:00 UTC (or the following slot if that one isn't doable), so that it can coincide with the Japanese premiere of the anime adaptation. If this isn't possible, please use it after the premiere.

- Disclaimer: This is my first DYK review so I've been thorough in my report in an attempt to stress I have considered it seriously. I've skipped down to review this DYK because of the close date request.
- Alt0 is GTG and I believe it's a valid candidate for the date request. See below for my reasoning.
- Objective criteria:
- The article's age is fine, it was moved to the mainspace the day the DYK was submitted.
- The article is 10,938 characters of readable prose (reported by DYK Check) exceeding the required 1,500 minimum.
- The assertions made by all three DYKs appear in the body of the article. Alt0 and Alt2 are appropriately sited from an English language secondary source and alt1 uses a foreign language source which is easily confirmed as accurate. Alt0 is additionally accompanied with a note to expand on the topic.
- There are no dispute or deletion templates attached or have been attached to the article.
- All hooks are of an acceptable length and meet the formatting criteria outlined at Wikipedia:Did_you_know/Hook_format.
- Subjective criteria:
- The article is well structured and is the foundation of a potential future GA candidate if expansion is continued.
- Hooks:
- Alt0: I really like this hook. It's an engaging piece of controversy and it appeals to visitors that might otherwise not be interested in following a DYK related to videogames. I see no reason why not to push for this to be released on the requested date.
- Alt1: Not a very engaging hook as it really gives away all there is to it and it doesn't have much of a wider appeal. This hook appears to violate date request DR2 here: Wikipedia:Did_you_know#Date_requests so I would advise not granting the date request for this this alt.
- Alt2: The middle ground of the two. Like Alt1 it's not as engaging as Alt0 and it also contains almost all the information on the Korean release of the game in the article. Valid candidate for DR. dasime (talk) 04:05, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
