Tim McKee
edit- ... that U.S. swimmer Tim McKee lost the closest race in Olympic history, finishing second in the 400 m individual medley by two one-thousandths (0.002) of a second behind Sweden's Gunnar Larsson in 1972?
Improved to Good Article status by Dirtlawyer1 (talk). Self-nominated at 23:45, 7 July 2015 (UTC).
- The nomination occurred over 10 days after the article was promoted to Good Article status, and so this article is well outside of the DYK criteria for newness. ~ RobTalk 11:23, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
- @BU Rob13: Is the 7-day deadline absolute? Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 11:54, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Dirtlawyer1: No rule is absolute as per WP:IAR, but this one is far enough outside the deadline that I'm not inclined to ignore all rules. If it were 8 days old, for instance, I don't think anyone would care, but this is ~50% over the "limit". You're welcome to seek a second opinion if you'd like to. ~ RobTalk 12:01, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
