Tomorrow (2015 film)

edit
  • ... that the upcoming film Tomorrow is Martin Scorsese's first British film, and the directorial debut by Martha Pinson, who worked as a long-time script supervisor to Scorsese?

Created by Captain Assassin! (talk). Self nominated at 02:08, 23 September 2014 (UTC).

  • New enough, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. However, it is about 100 characters short, since I removed 2 quotes that were rather fluffy. Hook is verified and cited inline; however, I think the hook is too long, and could be reasonably shortened to:
  • ALT1: ... that the upcoming film Tomorrow is Martin Scorsese's first British film?
  • The page creator appears to have more than 5 DYKs, so a QPQ is in order. Please review another DYK nomination and post it here. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 13:18, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Should I review another nomination? Is that a requirement? I reviewed one HERE in August. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 15:41, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
  • It is a requirement if you have more than 5 successful DYK nominations, which you appear to have. As long as you didn't use that review for another one of your nominations, we can use it here.
  • I'm having second thoughts about the hook. Saying it's Scorsese's "first British film" makes it sound like he directed it, not executive produced it. How about:
  • ALT2: ... that the upcoming film Tomorrow marks the directorial debut of Martha Pinson, a long-time script supervisor for Martin Scorsese, who executive produced the film?
  • Or hookier:
  • ALT3: ... that the upcoming British film Tomorrow looks at soldiers returning home from war with post-traumatic stress disorder and HIV, and their difficulties in resuming normal lives? Yoninah (talk) 18:28, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT2 is good, just mention that it marks as first British film of Scorsese, will be better then I think. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 07:42, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT4: ... that Martin Scorsese's first British film, Tomorrow, marks the directorial debut of his long-time script supervisor, Martha Pinson? Yoninah (talk) 12:11, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Great. I like it, too. And since I just moved around the words in your original hook, I'm prepared to pass it. However, there is still the matter of the article length being 100 characters short. Is there anything else you can add, other than vacuous quotes? Yoninah (talk) 17:38, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Nope, I don't see anything to add. I've already what could be. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 18:13, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Well, that's giving up pretty easily. A quick glance at today's headlines delivers enough fodder to bring the article up to snuff. New enough, long enough, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. ALT4 hook ref verified and cited inline. QPQ done. ALT4 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 19:02, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
