- Sarah. I tried to find a way to count this and still will if we can. But 5x (3450, or really 6x = 4140 because that's how I read the Rules?) the copied text (690) is much more than we have here (1967). Can you expand it more? -SusanLesch (talk) 16:27, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
- I actually can't expand on it due to conflict of interest (Valerie is a friend and a colleague), and it was created at an edit-a-thon (I wasn't involved in), and I was shown it and thought it'd be fun to promote. So, I don't really feel comfortable working on it! Sarah (talk) 16:34, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks anyway and good luck. -SusanLesch (talk) 17:02, 2 April 2012 (UTC)- Date, hook and source all check out. If the copied text is not counted then this qualifies. If someone else could double check that would be great. -SusanLesch (talk) 17:41, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

- I'm pretty sure there is a grace period of a couple days when creating an article so this isn't an expansion but a straight creation. So article is over 1500 character as as stated above: "Date, hook and source all check out" -- Esemono (talk) 08:57, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ready to go! Thank you, Esemono, for your second opinion. -SusanLesch (talk) 14:47, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - Great! Working on getting a photo. The few that we have aren't that great, so I'm hoping for a headshot. Will know by the end of today. Sarah (talk) 15:37, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
- Photo added Hi everyone, we now have a photo of Valerie Aurora at Commons:File:Valerie Aurora headshot.jpg Sarah (talk) 16:28, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
I was actually just about to nominate this article myself—a little late because I was on vacation in the interim—but I see you have beat me to it! The hook you chose was even the same one I was thinking about. I'd like to suggest the following hook which is functionally equivalent but less wordy. - ALT1 is fine, thank you. -SusanLesch (talk) 16:44, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
